- Although the Swan can be tame, especially to those who feed it.
It is aggressive in defence of its nest, and its size and impressive hissing make it a formidable adversary for animals as large as a fox.
This shot shows the unfortunate death of a large Cob. If you look at the Swan that is straight up, you can see the marks on its neck where the other Swan had earlier tried to bite it.
Although this is a disturbing shot, I feel that it captures both sides of this magnificent creature.
